How do you get someone to want to read your script? How do you sell an idea before you’ve written the screenplay?
Pitching for the Screen will teach participants how to sell a script or screenplay idea. Whether they have the idea and are looking for funding to support writing the script or have a finished script they are looking to get produced, this workshop will explore the pitch document(s) used to get a project seen by the right people.
What will you do in the workshop?
The workshop will look at existing pitch documents before delving into our own projects through short exercises on the different components of a pitch document. By the end of the session everyone will have the tools to create their own pitch decks.
What can participants expect?
The workshop is driven by your own work so please bring a script idea with you. It doesn’t have to be a full script! We’ll break down the components of a pitch document and spend time writing our own loglines, synopsises and story worlds.
Who is this opportunity for?
This session is for everyone who has a film or television script or idea and want to learn how to pitch them.
